On April 24 and 25, 2018, we welcomed Dr. Andreas Laupacis, General Internist at St. Michael’s Hospital and Board Chair for Health Quality Ontario.

Dr. Laupacis spoke to approximately 120 attendees about the importance of patient involvement in health care and health services research. He shared his experiences and best-practice approaches for patient and family engagement, including a few patient stories from his website, www.healthydebate.ca

This was followed by an interactive question & answer period, as well as a moderated open dialogue, where participants could share their thoughts, ideas and comments about patient and family engagement, in an open forum.
